A centuries-old tradition, Matthew has been depicted as Human, Mark as Lion, Luke as Ox, and John as Eagle. The Evangelium represents these Evangelists in hand-cast, bronze-toned wax ornaments trimmed with 24-carat gold leaf that are inlaid beneath the surface of the 51% beeswax Paschal Candle.
